Compared to sequels Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Origins feels much more focused in its design. We actually went back to Origins to try it out, and it's still a fantastic title. What's more, Origins recently received a PS5 update, allowing the game to run at 60 frames-per-second (it's 30 on PS4 and PS4 Pro).

Origins is still widely considered to be one of the best games in the series, boasting an emotionally-charged story and a truly memorable Egyptian setting. The open world title first released back in 2017, pulling the franchise in a new direction with a huge map and RPG elements, like character levels, skill trees, and loot.
